Ketamine Therapy Treatment
Ketamine Therapy
Ketamine has been safely used in medicine for over 50 years. In lower, therapeutic doses, it works differently than traditional antidepressants:
It increases neuroplasticity — helping the brain make new connections
It can reduce emotional shutdown and depression symptoms quickly
It may help you engage more effectively in therapy
It creates space for clarity, emotion, and a renewed sense of hope
This treatment can be especially helpful if you’ve tried therapy, medication, or major life changes — and you still feel stuck.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Ketamine therapy may be helpful for adults experiencing treatment-resistant depression, persistent low mood, or feeling stuck despite therapy or medication. A comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluation is required to determine whether this treatment is appropriate for you.
-
When administered in a medical setting by licensed providers, ketamine therapy is considered safe for appropriately screened patients. Each session includes medical monitoring, and your provider will review your health history to ensure safety before treatment begins.
-
Ketamine sessions take place in a calm, private therapy room designed to feel safe, comfortable, and supportive. You’ll be cared for by licensed medical professionals throughout the entire visit.
Each session includes:
A cozy, private room with comfortable seating
Optional eye mask, calming music, and grounding support
Continuous monitoring of vitals and overall experience
Licensed professionals present and available at all times
Integration conversations to help make sense of what arises
Many people describe the experience as introspective or calming. After the session, you’ll remain on-site for a period of observation to ensure you feel stable and ready to leave safely.
-
No. Because ketamine can temporarily affect alertness and coordination, you will need a ride home after each session. Driving is not permitted on treatment days.
-
Ketamine treatment itself is not covered by insurance and is offered as a self-pay service.
To make care more accessible, we offer treatment packages and flexible payment plans through Affirm and Afterpay. Our team is happy to review pricing options and help you understand what to expect before getting started.
-
That’s completely okay. The first step is a consultation with our psychiatric provider, where you can ask questions, review your history, and explore whether ketamine therapy aligns with your needs and goals.

At Moving Forward Mental Health, we are Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists who believe that meaningful change happens when care addresses both emotional experience and underlying mental health needs. We work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating life’s challenges, transitions, and moments of feeling stuck.
Our approach is relational, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based therapy. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, or major life changes, we create a supportive space to explore patterns, strengthen connection, and move toward greater clarity and balance.
In addition to therapy, our practice offers integrated psychiatric care, including medically supervised ketamine therapy for individuals who have not found relief through traditional treatments alone. Ketamine is offered as part of a comprehensive treatment plan—carefully evaluated, monitored, and supported by licensed professionals—so that insights gained during treatment can be thoughtfully integrated into ongoing therapy.
We believe healing is not one-size-fits-all. Our team collaborates closely to tailor care to each person and family we serve, honoring your goals, pace, and lived experience. Whether you are beginning therapy for the first time or continuing a longer journey of growth, we are here to walk alongside you and help you move forward.
